A Proud Family Business Tradition since 1884
In around 1840, Mr. Koch started bleaching home-made linen in the village of Zlíč. In 1884, when his bleaching ground was bought by Kristián Holzbecher, it was far from what we can see today. It resembled a small workshop rather than a factory. In 1880, Kristián Holzbecher's son Josef Holzbecher became an owner of the bleachery. He already started to bleach cotton yarns (which took the place of flax yarns in this region) in large scale.
Wound dressings and cellulosic materials for healthcare
We specialize in the production and development of modified cellulosic materials, esp. fibers from carboxymethylcellulose. Our materials are used as wound dressings (moist wound healing), surgical materials and materials used in prevention of infection. We offer customers our range of Hcel® products.
